The storefront says "Temporarily unavailable"
Customers see this page when the store has no licence it can use on this site. Your admin panel still opens.
- Open the licence page
Sign in to your admin panel and open
/admin/activate.php, or press Activate this installation on that page and sign in. - Activate
Enter your purchase key, or use Sign in with StartMyMarketplace instead to fetch it from your account. The page shows the domain the key will be tied to. You can try 5 times in 15 minutes.

On success the storefront opens straight away. Otherwise the page says why; see the table below.
What the licence page shows

| Active · grace period | Your store hasn't been able to reach the licence server lately and is running on its last answer. Check that the server can make outgoing HTTPS connections to api.startmymarketplace.com and license.startmymarketplace.com. |
| Active · server changed | The store moved to another server or address since its licence was issued. It keeps running. |
| Not accepted | The licence server didn't accept this site's activation key. Enter your purchase key to activate this domain again. |
The page shows only the last four characters of the site's activation key. When you write to us, send your purchase key, never the activation key.
Activation messages
| Message | What to do |

| "The licence server could not be reached" | Your server can't make outgoing HTTPS connections. Ask your host to allow them to the two addresses above, then try again. |
| "This licence is registered to another domain" | This installation's licence is still set to the domain it was first activated on. Trying again won't help. Move it to this domain from your StartMyMarketplace account, or contact support: see Licences and domains. |
| "Too many activation attempts" | Wait a few minutes, then try again. |
| "The licence server is temporarily unavailable" | Try again in a few minutes. |
| "Trying again will not help — contact support with this message" | Email us the full message. |
Reinstalling on the same domain
When you install again on the domain your licence is already registered to, the licence server confirms it's really your site. Your store writes a short-lived file under /.well-known/prizex-activation/, and the licence server fetches it from https://your-domain/.well-known/prizex-activation/. For that to work:
- The site is reachable from the internet over HTTPS, with a valid certificate.
- The domain doesn't redirect to another domain.
- The store is installed at the root of the domain, not in a subfolder.
- The site folder is writable by the web server, so the file can be written.
- Your web server doesn't block
/.well-known/. The.htaccessfrom your download leaves it open.
If the licence server says the domain has been re-registered too many times, trying again won't help; email us to reset the registration.
Other features that need the licence
Updates, add-on downloads and automatic translation all go through the licence server. Without an activated licence, Software update shows an Activate licence button, and translation stops with "this site has no licence activation key".
