Set up UddoktaPay

UddoktaPay takes payments in Bangladesh by bKash, Nagad, Rocket, Upay or bank, through your own UddoktaPay panel. Every payment is confirmed with your panel before anything is credited.

Not for Rewards stores

Rewards (coins-only) products have no payment gateways.

Set it up

Buy and install UddoktaPay from the add-on store, then open Payment Gateways UddoktaPay. It's added switched off, in Test mode, in taka.

  1. Choose the mode

    Test mode always uses UddoktaPay's sandbox, whatever API URL you save. Live payments use your own panel.

  2. Enter your panel's API URL

    The address of your own UddoktaPay panel, for example https://pay.example.com. It must be https and a host name, not an IP address, with no port. Only the host is used, so the panel must sit at the root of its own address, not in a sub-folder. The address must be reachable from the internet: a panel on a private or local address won't work.

  3. Enter the API key

    From your panel. Test mode needs UddoktaPay's sandbox key; Live payments need your panel's own key.

  4. Switch it on at checkout

    There's no webhook address to copy: each payment tells your panel where to send the buyer back and where to send its payment notice.

If your store isn't in taka

UddoktaPay takes taka only, so each charge is converted. Your store uses a live rate from the Exchange Rates add-on if it's no more than a day old, otherwise the gateway's Fixed rate. With neither, UddoktaPay is hidden at checkout. The rate is fixed when the buyer starts paying.

You seeWhat to do
"UddoktaPay could not start the payment."Nothing was charged. Check the API URL against step 2 (a panel address that points to a private network is the usual cause) and that the key matches the mode. The reason is logged in Security Logs Server errors, in lines starting [uddoktapay].
Your panel says a payment is pendingIt's waiting for you to approve it in your panel (a manual or bank payment). After you approve it, press Check with gateway on the payment request to credit it straight away.
A buyer paid but wasn't creditedPress Check with gateway on the request. If it says there's no UddoktaPay invoice yet, the buyer never came back and your store never heard of the payment: find it in your panel and fulfil or refund it by hand. See A customer paid but wasn't credited.

Refunds are made in your own UddoktaPay panel.
