How the wallet works
- Customers top up with any payment method you've switched on, or redeem a gift card code and PIN on the wallet page.
- Bid fees and shop orders are paid from the wallet, never for more than the balance.
- Prizes, bonuses and refunds are paid into it.
- Every movement is listed under Finance All Transactions: top-ups, purchases, prizes, refunds and your own adjustments. Filter by type or status and export to CSV.
Name your coins
Settings Rewards: what your store calls its wallet unit, such as Point or Credit, in the singular and the plural, up to 40 characters each. Leave them empty for Coin and Coins. You can also give the name in each language.
Set the coin price
Pricing Coin Pricing: what one coin costs in your currency. It takes up to 4 decimals and applies at once. A change of ten times or more asks you to confirm, and every change is logged.
The sign-up bonus and the referral bonuses, including the one a referrer gets when their friend buys coins, are set in Settings Rewards.
Adjust a customer's balance
Open the customer under Orders & Customers Customers and use Add or remove coins. It needs an amount and a note, and is recorded as an admin adjustment in Transactions and in the admin log.
Cashing out
BidKing Plus doesn't include customer withdrawals: coins are spent in your store. To let customers cash out coins to a bank account, UPI or another method you set, add the Withdrawals add-on. Settings Wallet then decides which coins can be withdrawn and which, such as the sign-up bonus or referral bonuses, can only be spent.
Sellers are paid separately; see Pay sellers.
Tax
Pricing Tax Settings: rules per country, each with a label and a rate, applied to shop purchases or to wallet top-ups. Make one of each to cover both. You can switch a rule off without deleting it and set the order taxes are listed on the receipt. A new store has five example rules, all switched off.
Other currencies
Pricing Exchange Rates: rates from your store currency to others. Visitors can see every price in their own currency, marked ≈, while they still pay in yours. Keep a rate fixed, or let it refresh from the live source every 12 hours.
The same rates let a payment gateway charge in its own currency. If there's no live rate and no fixed rate on the gateway, that payment is refused rather than charged at a guess.
