Wallet, coins and payouts

Every customer has one coin wallet. They top it up once, use it to bid and shop, and can cash out what you allow. Every coin that moves is recorded.

How the wallet works

  • Customers top up with any payment method you've switched on, or redeem a gift card code and PIN on the wallet page.
  • Bid fees and shop orders are paid from the wallet, never for more than the balance.
  • Prizes, bonuses and refunds are paid into it.
  • Every movement is listed under Finance All Transactions: top-ups, purchases, prizes, refunds and your own adjustments. Filter by type or status and export to CSV.

Name your coins

Settings Rewards: what your store calls its wallet unit, such as Point or Credit, in the singular and the plural, up to 40 characters each. Leave them empty for Coin and Coins. You can also give the name in each language.

Set the coin price

Pricing Coin Pricing: what one coin costs in your currency. It takes up to 4 decimals and applies at once. A change of ten times or more asks you to confirm, and every change is logged.

The sign-up bonus and the referral bonuses, including the one a referrer gets when their friend buys coins, are set in Settings Rewards.

Adjust a customer's balance

Open the customer under Orders & Customers Customers and use Add or remove coins. It needs an amount and a note, and is recorded as an admin adjustment in Transactions and in the admin log.

What can be withdrawn

Settings Wallet decides which coins customers can cash out and which can only be spent in your store.

SettingWhat it does
Other spend-only creditsTick a source, such as the sign-up bonus or referral bonuses, to make its coins spend-only.
Unlock existing locked balancesMakes spend-only coins already in wallets withdrawable, after you confirm. It can't be undone.
Allow cash-out of game winningsApplies only to coins won in chance games from add-ons; BidKing includes none. Off by default.

A change applies to coins credited from then on. Coins already in wallets keep what they were. If your database user can't add the column spend-only coins need, every coin stays withdrawable; the Wallet settings page tells you when that's the case.

Withdrawals

With the Withdrawals plugin, included, customers ask to cash out their coins to a real payment method. They see the limits, conversion rate and fee before they submit.

Set your payout methods

Withdrawals Methods: for each method, the minimum and maximum, the conversion rate, a fixed or percentage fee, the payout currency, and the details you need from the customer, such as a bank account or UPI ID.

Handle a request

  1. Approve

Open Withdrawals Requests and approve a request you're going to pay.

  2. Pay outside the site

    Then press Mark paid.

  3. Or reject

The coins go back to the customer's wallet.

Each action is recorded with the admin and the time, and the menu shows how many requests are waiting.

Sellers are paid separately; see Pay sellers.

Tax

Pricing Tax Settings: rules per country, each with a label and a rate, applied to shop purchases or to wallet top-ups. Make one of each to cover both. You can switch a rule off without deleting it and set the order taxes are listed on the receipt. A new store has five example rules, all switched off.

Other currencies

Pricing Exchange Rates: rates from your store currency to others. Visitors can see every price in their own currency, marked ≈, while they still pay in yours. Keep a rate fixed, or let it refresh from the live source every 12 hours.

The same rates let a payment gateway charge in its own currency. If there's no live rate and no fixed rate on the gateway, that payment is refused rather than charged at a guess.
